How do we process and perceive the multitude of sensory information that is around us constantly? How do we decide which stimuli to pay attention to and what to ignore?

These are some of the questions that we strive to answer by unravelling the cortical circuits that underlie sensory perception during goal directed behavior. We achieve this through using novel in-vivo imaging and electrophysiological techniques, combined with targeted circuit manipulations in mice performing learned behaviors.
